when the montego had a facelift in 1989, rover had a attack on the fleet buyer, where they advertised in the press to attract company car drivers. They gave reps a montego for a day, with a cassette tape to listen in the car to as they were driving. The tape in question was called montego for a day, it was a running commentary by Murray Walker. I have a copy of this tape as at the time I was a salesman for a Rover dealer. Should anyone be interested I would be glad to let this tape go for a small fee. I know that each dealer was given 5 of these tapes each, so I believe it to be quite rare. Offers please orchardrow@supanet.com

Ah yes, I know the one you mean... We watched it at the membership sec.'s house after a BBQ last year! Awful video :D

I think he means tape as in music tape.

I would think music tape as VHS and TV was never std in a Montego as far as I know :laugh:

Sorry, was a long morning :D There was a video tape presented by Murray Walker with the same (or similar) title, I got a little mixed up. Unless we'd been drinking and were hallucinating whilst listening to the cassette? :laugh:
