will front hubs from mg fit the turbo diesel

Hi, & Welcome to the forums, Yes they will fit, but if possible use the later hubs with one piece bearing as they are more reliable. An early MG will have a two piece bearing.

What is the reason for the swap?

the ones fitted are completely worn and now dangerous, the car is perfect apart from that, well almost, cant get my rear doors to open, they used to work and got stiffer and stiffer now i cant get them open atall.
