I have just finished replacing the glow plugs, fuel filter and brake pump on the new TD van.
On re-starting, she was reluctant to start but going eventually, and I have now discovered a leak from the top of the throttle housing on the injector pump. Its coming from the throttle arm, and appears to be leaking from the spring below it. I did replace the supply hose to the pump as this was perished and that is not leaking, its definatly coming from the throttle spring.
What has caused this, can I safely remove the throttle arm to investigate and what could be the cause?
I have never herd of this hapening before and I dearly hope a new injector pump is not required as I just don't know where I would ever find one. I need to get the van on the road and this is now a major set back.
Any help most appreciated!
