Ferodo 3466 material brake pads suit all models of Maestro or Montego. They are suitable for fast road or track day use, or can be used for everyday use - they work extremely well from cold and instantly improve a standard brake system. Should last as long as normal pads and will not increase disc wear.
We have got a batch of these from a cancelled order a while ago so can offer at great prices - £15.00/set (£12.77 excl) or £40.00 for 3 sets inc vat (£11.35/set excl). If interested in more sets, email me for a quote.
Can be sent by 2nd class post for £4.10 (3.49 + vat) or courier - £8.52 for economy delivery or £9.69 next day delivery (inc vat), or can be collected.
****If you would like to order, please phone the sales team on 01978 664466 quoting part number MISFCP274B special offer - do not email me to order****

Anyone tried these Ferodo pads for motorsport use?

I have them on both our EFI's and had them on my Monty Turbo before it was sold.
I did notice an improvement over "cold brakeing" compared to the Mintex standard pads. can't say for when warmed up as I barely took notice LOL.

I think that these are the same pads that I've been fitting to all of Bob's cars, and I will fit them to my cars when the time comes. I bought 10 sets and I'm now down to 4 left.

yes we did a 6 hour endurance race in 2010 on them, good - and they lasted well too. I have a set or two spare if you need any cheap.

Yes I went out today and checked. I didn't realise they were credible alternatives to redsuffs etc.
I also found a set of yellow stuffs I forgot too! :o

They're 'fast road' so not really an alternative to redstuff. Greenstuff perhaps.

Do these by any chance cut down on brake dust or am I right by thinking they are as bad as any other pad for dust ? :)

They are chronic! Your wheels disappear before your eyes! Good pads though, especially for the money. If there are any left on fleebay, they were accepting good low offers on sets. Was a while ago now though.Do these by any chance cut down on brake dust or am I right by thinking they are as bad as any other pad for dust ? :)

I guess they've shifted the boundaries since I last looked at EBC stuff! Mind you, they do tend to change their blends quite often.
Put it this way though, if I was choosing between the redstuff of about 4-5 years ago, versus these Ferodo pads, I would choose the Ferodos *every* time. Better pedal feel for one, and I always had trouble with the EBCs crumbling. As I say though, it's been years since I tried them.

Chris, these NOS ones are definitely race pads - they say 'High performance racing pads' on the box, can't get clearer than that.

I've got both old restuff and the new ceramic redstuffs.
Old ones are lethal when cold but when hot are fabulous (on 280mm discs)
New ones are better when warm but only good when hot.
Not tried the ferrodo jobbies, but looks like its worth a try.

I'd have to go rooting in the garage for my set just to be sure, but they're definitely more on the 'fast road' end of the spectrum. I did a race at Silverstone with them, and while they had better pedal feel than the EBCs of the time, they were getting fade by the end of the race - definitely overheating.
The 'high performance racing pads' is just the blurb on the box. I've seen that before, they could put any compound in those boxes.
Another thread comparing them to Mintex 1144s, which are definitely fast road: http://forum.lotuselancentral.com/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=13944
But, all that aside, as I have said, they're pretty good pads. You could do track days with them and things like that - I just wouldn't recommend them for out and out racing, particularly on tracks with big braking areas.

like I said, we used them for a 6 hour endurance race and they did not overheat. While I modify my driving for endurance, one of my drivers is not exactly renowned for his mechanical sympathy, and they survived the race including his 1.5 hour stint. Of course there's plenty of other variables including cooling ducts, wheel design, brake fluid, disc material and so on.
