I have today changed the spark plugs and ht leads, but to get the ht lead from the ignition coil I had to withdraw the rubber cap that covered it, I replaced all the wires that go to the coil in the correct order, but now the car wont start any ideas????

Many Thanks inadvance Rebecca

the metal connections in the ends of the lead , normally go a bit.. weird, and you can miss the hole for the spark plug to go in..

this is possibly what youve done , on the coil lead.. ?

if not , wiggle the other wires on the coil....

if no help , power the coil directly , and see if you turn over..

sounds like a bad connection, make sure that all the connectors inside the rubber boots are actually connected to the plugs and that the king lead between the coil and the distributer is actually making contact.

if you removed the distributer cap check to see if the carbon brush thing in the middle is still there.

I wouldnt wire anything to the coil directly.
