after a hard few months Jeff is back on the road....He passed the mot with flying colours(after the third attempt) and now is in daily use......well i say daily use...yesterday going to work had managed 2 miles when he cut out and refused to go any further. I suspected the head gasket(needed new water pump heater matrix leaking pressurising the water jacket??) after much fiddling, difficult when you have no tools with you, i noticed the fuel lift pump(he`s an oil burner) was rattling on its ten mill bolts and the fuel feed had come out..tightened that up and he spluttered into life.....he goes he stops great....now all is needed is a working radio the heater matrix replacing(where can i get those metal pipes from?????) and the passenger side door re-alligning , (wind whistles a tune)..ok he`ll never be concours, tatty is a better description, but he pulls from 25mph in 5th and chuggs along all day i`m in me maestro and i`m happy....surely thats all that counts......;)

I had a leeking coolant pipe on a rover 214 (never mind!) and a replacement was about £60 or something. Being a tight git I cut the pipe, and slipped rubber pipe and jubilee clips on. worked a treat with zero outlay.

Any help?
