Wiper Mechanisms

GGT's Wipers are currently not parking themselves when I switch them off. :banghead: I have to switch them off when they reach the bottom of the screen. However, those on SRY are self-parking, and I would like to know what I have to do to swap them over.
Can anyone help?

this is easy, take the black cover off the car (engine compartment) that covers up the wiper linkage and motor.

remove the bolts holding the wiper motor down and also the one connecting it to the lnkage and lift it out.

im presuming its a motor fault i.e a park switch

Well theres no guarentees with anything but id say its a good bet


Ive never taken one out but ive looked at mine a few weeks ago and I cant see you having any dificulties removing it

I remember taking the wiper motor's out of Rich's Montego VDP - i can be a bit fiddly - you'd be best doing it when you have taken the bonnet off - is i presume you will still be swaping those aswell?

Yes will be doing that when I've done the headlining... :rolleyes:
