I'm sure that any of you with an O series (petrol or the perkins diesel) will agree that the sump is rather vulnerable on our cars, even more so if they are lowered at all. Well I've seen a few maestro rally cars out there, has anyone fitted a sump guard to a maestro? And how easy is it to do etc?

I just looked at the camper and that has a sodding great plate welded on the sump which probably covers a gaping hole which is also leaking.

I'm terrible for grounding out cars and bikes so I was wondering if this had been done before by anyone? If done nicely it might also tidy up the bottom and underside of the car a little.

Well I have one which I got for the previous autocrosser. It is a works spec rally sump guard and cost £145. I think I got it from Motobuild.
