Hello again people, I know this should really be elsewhere but does anyone know if there is a bodykit for the montego???.
As many know I have an estate but I'm fairly good with fibreglass so can fabricate a bit myself, possibly an mg Maestro rear spoiler (the rubber window type) would fit?? does anyone know?.
Obviously they can be made to order but this is expensive.
Any suggestions would be most.........erm..........helpful:D :D

Can't help with the bodykit, but if you do attempt anything the side skitrs would be the easiest place to start and I'm sure there are quite a few van owners out there who'd be interested too. (the monty estate would look better with skirts too and they'd be similar ~I guess to a van's in length)

Estate or saloon? Anything can be made to fit with time!
Quite why people still recommend Motobuild on here i dont know, but simply put they suck... The year is 2003 and they havent updated their catologue since 1995, they wont have anything in stock now as they have moved away from ripping off Maestro and Montego owners and onto MGF and Elise's.

You could fit a two strut mount flat spoiler right at the back on the roof possibly with LED brake light - see how that looks. Might look OK provided it were a.) subtle i.e. not too tall/big and b.) If it were colour coded. Then add some side side skirts which Motobuild may still do. True - their catalog is old but it comes with a November 2002 price list that includes the Montego/Maestro bodykit prices. About 300 quid for two bumpers I think (!). Side skirts are much cheaper but if definitely not available try posting a WANTED ad on mgcars.org.uk classifieds. If you can't do anything about bodystyling what about lowering it a small bit i.e. 1 inch and put on some later MG multispoke alloys? The Montego (especially late estates) look OK in standard form anyway.
