Does anyone know why I cannot get my wipers to park when I switch them off. At present they stop wherever they are when switched off. They will park when single wipe is selected. It does not seem to be the switch or the wiper motor, is there a solenoid I have missed? It does not worry me , however, it is a MOT fail!!! Thanks for any help. Barry

I've not had this problem before but I wonder if could be the park motor in the wiper motor playing up.
Could just be a wiper motor swop.

Have a look here (http://www.motuk.com/mot_manual/6-1.asp#14), no mention of non-parking wipers (and I've had cars pass with wipers like this) - so I'd say try a different MoT station ;) . Or speak to the MoT Tester and ask to see his Testers' Manual...
I had a problem on my Mk I Monty where the wipers wouldn't stop - cured by taking the wiper motor wheelbox apart and cleaning up the parking mechanism. It will be something to do with the parking switch (as alluded to by Darren115), I am sure - or the control unit.
Welcome to the forum, by the way :) .
