Heya

After a fair bit of leakage of engine fluids going down the M6 I need a replacement hose that runs from thermostat housing to heater matrix. It's for a Austin Maestro approx 1989 1.6L.

Any ideas or comments on where to get my hand on one would be great.

Thanks guys,

Whereabouts are you, I know a scrapyard in the Nottingham area with three maestros in one of which is a vdp

I'm in Manchester. But the car's in Stratford-upon-Avon. So either area is good.

When mine failed on the sea front at Scarborough in 2001, I got a suitable length of hose, with jubilee clips to suit, from a Chandlers'.

It's still ok over 4 years on :) , but these hoses seems to break at the thermostat end (where the oil filler is on the Mk I Montegos  ).
