I've spent years trying to forget Christopher Lillicrap, so thanks very much!!!
Only kidding. Funny how nostalgia pulls at the heartstrings, innit? Anyone remember 'the gallery' on Hartbeat (or its predecessor), the name of the music that was played? 'Theme of the deerhunter' or something - music to cut your wrists to... not good!:horror: cracks me up every time.

I loved the Mysterious Cites of Gold and Ulysses 31. They were the best cartoons of the time, in my opinion. I have the entire series of MCoG on CD-R to watch at my leisure, but haven't seen Ulysses 31 for ages.
Thundercats was pretty good as well, if I remember rightly.

I was just about to say how fab Thundercats was! I'd kill to have that on tape/CD/DVD. Any chance of a copy of MCoG? I loved that! And Dogtanian, and Around the World with Willy Fogg, and Stoppit and TidyUp, and Trap Door, and ...!!
They don't make 'em like they used to!

I've got two speccy 48k and about 150+ games. The good thing is you can play all those games on the PC nowadays.
You need to download a spectrum emulatorhttp://www.spectaculator.com/
then you need a tape drive, which you can plug into your soundcard and using a program called MAKE TZX ( http://www.worldofspectrum.org/utilities.html ) you can create a.tzx file play the game on the PC.
ALternatively, there are masses of games already been converted on the web, to play on the emulator. Have a go its great fun.
Some of my favourite games were, daley thompsons supertest, football manager, kikstart, pool :) But my all time favourite of games was the whole collection of Dizzy.

Are we talking 'Dogtanian and the three muskehounds' here, or am I barking up the wrong tree (no pun intended)? I enjoyed this programme in my mis-spent youth.
As an aside, would people care to comment on just when in his childrens'-programme-making career Oliver Postgate lost the plot? It's just after a conversation in the pub last night when it was generally agreed that The Clangers was, errm, ok, but I am sure he'd lost 'it' before this stage...
It's good to be back on the Forums of a weekend...
