The helmets will be for sale for £ 35.00 + p+p. If anyone is interested please mail me at machinchris2@aol.com and i can send full tech spec and photo's if required.
Please let me know.

An offer worth taking up if anyone's doing any welding. I've got one and they're invaluable.

Yeah! Otherwise it's ... With 1 hand, hold metal patch, with 2nd hand, hole welding torch. Now find suitable solid object, eg wheelarch, and nuzzle with helmet, in the hope that the visor will flap down. When visor falls, being welding. Open visor again, discover that frantic headbutting of wheelarch has moved torch hand and set fire to paint on other section of car

Hi Maria,
Have you got the same "type" (model/brand etc) that this guy is offering?
I have used these in the past (borrowed-I don't own) and they are good.
Is there a "Standard" that these have to meet/conform to? This guy has put the teccy bit in and do these meet/exceed this?
If they are as good as he says then the price seems good.
Thanks.

Can't remember offhand what type I have, but got it pretty cheap (£40-£50 IIRC) from a classic car show. Does the job perfectly well. I don't know anything about helmet standards but this might help:

Hi Again,
Ok just to clarify. The helmets i have for sale are very good quality. The latest standards for eye and face protection is 'ANSI Z87'. This is American standard which sets criteria for Ultra violet / infra red transmission as well as other features such as switching time. The helmets i have actually exceed these standards in many cases. The helmets are also CE marked which ensures they meet standards for sale in the UK market. They are for sale at such a good price due to buying in bulk.
if anyone is interested a search on 'google' under 'ANSI Z87' will clarify this.
Cheers
Chris.
