Following on from my post on the MG BBS, i'd like to announce that i really am leaving this forum for good! Jon, could you please remove ANY evidence of me being here, and remove my username from the database. Many thanks.

Why do you feel that bad about the forums?

to be honest i havn't paid that much attention to these personal arguments, im sure many others cant be bothered with them either. after all they only effect the persons arguing really.

if you have advice to share even with people who you havnt argued with isnt it worth sharing with them?

still, its whatever you like i supose

it is good sharing info with other people, but i think you can feel like thats all people talk to you for. sometimes its nice to have people ask how you are, or generally talk to you because they want to talk to you as a person, not because they need help.
for instance, i noticed the other day that topgear hasn't been on for a few weeks, so i posted a new thread mentioning this, for no other reason than curiosity, and a touch of concern.
i understand that gk thinks he isn't valued as a person on here, and while i will miss his input, i understand his reasons for going, and wish him all the best in whatever he does with his life.

I can see what you mean by that, I like the technical forums best so thats the sort of angle i come at things from

good luck and thanks for any help that you've given me

I do understand Gareths viewpoint from the MGBBS - some people just can't let things lie, and keep dredging the same crap up over and over again. I would hate to risk being flamed every time I post, no matter what about.

Anyway, the santa pod result proves there's life in the 8 valver Gareth, don't take the whuss-puss option and shove a 16 valve in there! (meant in the best of humor).

Good luck

I think it is a shame you feel you have to leave as your knowledge about technical issues is wide-ranging and your advice always sound. I can understand your reasons for going but I'm sure your contributions - particularly to the technical help forums - will be missed by many.

Well he did leave... He just talked his way back onto the forums after he supposedly changed his tune.

Why fetch all this crap back up?

Its been settled ages now, I dont appreciate someone re lighting an argument I was involved in after it has been sorted.

If you want to try and **** people off you would probably be better doing it by PM.

Gareths posted up loads of good advice and despite what some people would have you believe I dont think he's caused any problems on here since he came back.:banghead:

Water. Under. The. Bridge.

The date on the first post of this thread is OVER TWO YEARS OLD... absolutely no point in going for the Forum Archeological Award by digging it up again
