Hello everone out there in montego land, I'm the happy owner  of a Montego Clubman D Turbo Estate, reg L647 VLR. The kids (all under five) have decided on calling our new car "Big Red". I guess thats because it bright red! I've had the car now for two weeks, after buying it from a chap in London who owned the car from new and has kept every last reciept for it, including the original vehicle order form, from The Chequered Flag Rover dealership, Chiswick, London.
The car has now done 110k miles so has the odd bit of rust around the rear arches, so i know what i'll be doing in the warmer months! Other than that it's a great car, especially with the seats in the boot, the kids have a great time waving to everyone behind us!
I do however have one question about my new car, and that is that its not very warm even after a 50 mile trip. Any one got any ideas, i would be grateful of any help.
Must go and sleep as I'm sure of another 3am start! :horror:

Take it steady

Nick

Welcome to the Forums...

Being On here Sure beats this Study Leave im on...

Anyhow -

have you tried draining some of the coolant out , and puting water in ?

if theres alot of coolant in the system (too much) it may not want to get hot..

Just not to much water - its cold out there ;)

Try a coolant tester if you can pick one up from a local motor factor , could save you a bit of freezing up somehwere :driver:

More likely the thermostat's stuck open.

I couldn't imagine my two three-year-old's in the rear facing seats of a Monty estate: they'd be pulling faces at the oncoming drivers!

Cheers Ben,

After taking a look at the thermostat, it was found it to be faulty.
Hopefully the kids won't complain any more of their toes being cold. :)
The tribe and I are just outside Wincanton.

Thanx again for a great welcome

Nick
