Friday 4th, Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th November.

Anyone going?

I've been a couple of times before and really enjoyed myself - there's lots to see and it's all very down to earth rather than being full of cars you'll never be able to afford. There's no club stand this year but a few other BL clubs and Austin Rover Resource are putting on displays. There's also a pretty big autojumble.

The only downside is the cost, but buying tickets in advance instead of on the day brings them down from extortionate to expensive. It's certainly worth a visit for anyone who's not been before.

Thinking about it, possibly in conjunction with a visit to truck racing at Brands Hatch on the Sunday.

I shall be there on Sunday with my XJ-S. If you see KXI4239 and me in it come and say hello! Hope to see some familiar faces.

I'll be going on Saturday. If you like classic car shows and autojumbles you'll love this, although it does get very busy and there won't be a huge amount of Maestro/Montego specific bits. I didn't get time to look around everything last time so allow a good 5-6 hours!

It's also worth noting from the smallprint that parking will cost you £7, that Birmingham International station adjoins the complex and a lot of the local Centro stations have cheap/free parking ;)

Sounds a good show- shame about the parking cost though :rage:
Travelling by train would make a pleasant change-What a pity we only have a north-south rail network in Britain, I understand going to Brum by train from East Anglia is a slow and drawn out affair :banghead:

Hmm parking sounds troublesome, a shame Dans bike isn't on the road as we could have gone in that.

These centro stations you mention Jon, is there a map showing where they are etc? I don't know Birmingham at all.

What a shame shows are spoilt by over priced parking, seems especially ironic at a car events. :(

Well in theory you could drive to somewhere like Berkswell which is about 7-10 mins from J6 of the M42 and has a free car park, pay £1.20 for your return fare to NEC which is about 7 mins away, and you'll save a fiver. A bit of a round about way of doing it but by the time you've waited for shuttle busses from NEC car parks to the centre itself etc...

There's masses of space for parking at the NEC so it's a shame they always insist on charging so much.

We went today, we met up with Simon Reeves and also James.

Watched the Russ Swift display which was fab. Tony got some videos on his all singing all dancing phone, which I have uploaded for all to see.

Some great cars there, really enjoyed myself.

Shame we didn't get to see you Jeff.

You will need real player to watch these

What a superb show that was!

Great to see you Lindz and Tony, it's always nice to meet up with the Northern lot and have a chin-wag once in a while! Shame I didn't bump into James though, I expect I'll see you soon ;¬) Great videos, too Tony. I'm amazed that your 'phone is able to take such reasonable footage.

Anyway, one day wasn't enough time to see everything, there were still stands I wanted to see and didn't. One of the many highlights was the Jaguar and Daimler Heritage Trust stand with 40+ different Jaguars and Daimlers on show. I also signed myself up for the Advanced Institure of Motorists course and exam. Can't wait to become a better Driver.

Stopped in Brum for a bit of curry on the way home and also found the time to take the Jag back home after 18 years since it came off the production line at Browns Lane.

Oh, that's odd Simon - I didn't think you liked curry ;)
