...remove the hatchback from my Maestro please? I`m breaking it for parts (unfortunately) and the hatch is too good to scrap. A cursory glance reveals that it looks like a nightmare to remove-do I need to remove the complete headlining to get to it from the inside?
Any help greatly appreciated, thankyou.

The only one I've removed recently has been on a stripped-out race car shell, so can't remember if it needs the headlining removing. However, if I'm allowed to be the first vulture to circle and the tailgate's not spoken for, can I make an offer for it?

Yes there are some bolts under the headlining, however if the headlining is good it will be worth keeping this too.

Many thanks. I actually found how to do it earlier-the headlining was knack`d anyway so I pulled off what was left including the flimsy `hard` part and then found the four bolts I need to remove tailgate. You don`t want to know what a job I had trying to get the front bumper off-what a nightmare!
Anyhow if you want the tailgate let me know, you cab have first dibs on it. Was going to remove it and stick it on eBay along with both the back doors and the front bumper plus some other nick-nacks .
E-mail is the best bet if you want to discuss the tailgate, please mail me at: Cavmad@Tesco.net
Thankyou for your help,
