Metro 25th Birthday event anyone?

Hi everyone, I wondered if there would be any interest in a metro gathering to celebrate the 25th of the Metro, I know this is for meastros and montegos but ive nticed many of you also own and enjoy Metros too. It would be great to get as many variants together especialy the Mk1s . I know a couple of Metro owners and there are up for meeting . I think it will be in the midlands, maybe arrange it to be at one of the few local shows left this season theres a show and jumble at malvern showground just before the official 25th date on the 1st and 2nd Oct. I could even talk to the classic mags see if they would mention it. let me know what you all think hope to hear from you.

Good idea.. Perhaps hold the meeting at gaydon like the austin rover resource lot have done in the past? Certainly worth cross posting over to there to get some support. (The forum owner over there - Keith Adams is a motor journalist which might help with the press coverage!). Also forums which are perhaps worth posting to are metropower and performance metro (I'm not a metro man but they are the first ones that I can think of off the top of my head).

If the event gets organised then appraoch the powers that be on here and they will probably include it in the occasional e-mail newsletters that the MMOC send out.
