After waiting for two weeks to get the Measty in for it's mot she finally went on the ramps this morning to be pillaged by the mot tester, his first remark was "not a lot of these around now" and after a lot of poking and prodding the results were not too bad as follows:

o/s/r & n/s/r sills needs welding (small amount)
o/s/r rear inner arch to sill needs welding (small amount)
n/s/r rear wheel bearing worn

Done the wheelbearing now just got to get the welder out, so that's the Maesty saved for another 12months!

glad to hear its not too drastic on the welding:)
problem is too many maestys and montys end up scrapped because even the slightest thing to get them thru' their mots and some people will just get rid of them:( they think its cheaper to buy another car with say 6 months t&t than to repair:banghead: :rage:

That's true enough! My dads LX failed an MOT once as it needed its' sills welding after a shunt - he didn't get rid of it, but many people would. :( :banghead: :rage:
Glad that mine sailed through its' MOT last month! Sills are absolutely spotless, all the rest of the underside it solid too! :) ;)
Still to this day do not understand - £50 !!!

I thought it would have been a lot worse than it was as there was stuff that I thought would have been picked on and if anything major in addition to what failed already had failed, I'm afraid she would have had to go so was quite pleased really as it's ot a lot of life left in it yet.
