I have been through my stash or Maestro & Montego bits today, intent on having a clear out to create a bit of space.

I have some bits and pieces that I no longer need, they either fit cars I don’t own or are simply surplus to requirements. Instead of taking them straight to the tip, I am to offering them on here. If you can make use of anything I have, let me know!

Anything not taken will be off to the tip next Wednesday!

Amongst other bits, there are:

Maestro & Metro parcel shelfs
2 Maestro grilles
Montego roof-rack spars in their original (grubby) carry bag
1 Rover Montego grille
Mk1 Maestro door cards (Coffee & Chocolate Vinyl)
MK Montego glove box lid (grey) Cassette holder & Vanity mirror!
Sand coloured Steering cowl
Mk1 Maestro steering wheel (soft feel)
2 Early Montego instrument surrounds with chrome/silver pinstripe
New and unused Mk1 Maestro clock!
Mk 2 Metro grille badge and plinth


I have a large collection of BROWN INTERIOR TRIM up for grabs too. Many of you know how brittle it is and how it can disintegrate at the slightest touch. There is pretty much most of the brown plastic from a Maestro & Montego. It is a bit dirty and mouldy, but no reason why it won’t clean up. If you want some, ask!

Items can be collected from BMC/BL day!

You can certainly have a grille, Ben. Windscreen pillars, they were donated to a local Maestro last year, sorry! And no, I don't have a brown parcel shelf.

Do you have the following items please:

The two pieces of plastic which the parcel shelf rests on- in brown?
Also those brown and coffee door cards are they the same as in the HLE? as my front ones are damaged.

Also the pieces that fit beneath the front seats and hold the carpet.

Oooh, brown trim! i'll have PAM 5116 if it's available please (the bit of trim between the rear door and the rear quarter light RH side) Also Mk.1 Brown steering wheel + seat belts. If you still have any brown trim left over, i'll take it off your hands ;)

As far as I remember when sorting out the 'bin' of trim, the shelves went the same way as the ones I have just taken out of my brown-trimmed car - straight to the tip in many pieces! They're so brittle... If Rich doesn't have them, I have one spare (not sure which side...).


Also the pieces that fit beneath the front seats and hold the carpet.

Again, I will have these from my car shortly, if Rich doesn't have what you need...

Dean & Darren, Brown trim is free for the taking - please, take it all!

Does anyone want to commit to all or some of this brown trim which has not been taken already? If not it will go in the bin.

Likewise with anything else you can see listed above or in the pictures. Its all free! I can bring things to BL day for collection.

If you have a brown drivers front sill kick strip (early type with no seal overlap)
Drivers lower B post trim
Drivers front crossmember cover (under seat)
Drivers seat rear mounting cover (square box thingy)

Right, I have decided - all the stuff will be coming to BL Day with me as I am determined to get rid. Those of you who have mentioned particular parts can come and find me on the Sunday, but the rest of the stuff will all be in the boot of a Blue miniMetro Auto, so come and take what parts you want.
