I have just experienced a very strange problem. I was coming home from a friends' house and I started the car and about 20 yards down the road, the engine cut out and wouldn't restart. When I popped the bonnet and pointed a torch around, I noticed that the fuel inlet hose had popped off the carb leaving a trail of petrol splashes down the road. I pushed it back on and she ran fine all the way home. Is this a one-off or could it be a sign of a more serious problem? Needless to say, I am going to attach it with a jubilee clip in the morning...!
