After much humming and arring and kicking of the back tyres ( as you do)
I am thinking of reeplacing my rear wheel arches rather than cutting out the rust and filling the gaps. But my knowledge is lacking here. I thought the arches were a part of the back panels.
www.bodyshopwarehouse.co.uk are selling these at a reasonable price, but how do I do the job?
Is it a diy job or a garage appointment?

Cheers

garage apointment.

when KKW was hit my a taxi , it creased all the arch up , and the inside of the top mount.

As it sits were making kits to cover these up.. and other holes aswell..

We quoted 8 hours a side , of welding just for one side.. but that was for insurance

Your garage may be more.. efficient with older cars

If your good at welding it shouldn't be too much of a problem, Dan has got mine to do on the police car soon.

It all depends on how DIY capable you are. I'm going to be attempting my first set soon myself. You'll need to be able to cut, weld, fill and paint to an acceptable level if you are going to be hapy with the end result. Basically you cut a section of the rear quarter panel out (the wheel arch bit) then weld in a repair panel.
