Dash with attitude!!!

Just managed to fit my new rad, matrix pipes and brakes, many thanks to E_T_V, G force and everyone for their help. Feeling smug with myself and upon closing the bonnet the air turned blue, :banghead: my dashboard has culred up?????
The point where the dashboard meets the windscreen is where the problem is. I have tried to push it down but to no avail, it may be due to the sauna I had when the matrix pipes burst....but has anyone come across this problem before? Mr Haynes does not mention this in his auto biography (pardon the pun!!) any ideas.

Well there is good news and bad news. The dash has a retaining clip in the middle which often is a little tricky to get back aligned when you put the dash back in as they do tend to warp up in the middle. This retaining clip helps to keep the middle of the dash flat however you'll find that a lot of dashes curve up in the middle. I think most of mine to.

You can try re-fitting the dash with the aid of an assistant to try and push the middle down to locate the clip.
