Hi all,
Any of you want to buy a brand new pair of Monroe Shock Absorbers left over from my Montego days?
I originally bought two sets but only got around to putting one set on and have found this last set going surplus to requirements.
To help you guys/girls identify if they will fit your model I have gathered the following information:
Dimensions of the fixing centres are 264mm from the spring pan to the
furthest hole centre on the lower mounting bracket. Embossed on the main
body of the shocker are two sets of numbers. One set is also shown on the
installation instructions which I opened to check to see if there was any
definate part numbers present. The same number in question corresponds to the model/type, this being 11060. The second set of numbers embossed on the shocker is U2C99. They are blue in colour and as stated unmarked because they are brand new. One is still in the original box but the other is not because I destroyed the box dragging it out from underneath my workbench. I want £40.00 for the pair but whoever buys them will also have to either collect or pay postage, the latter I can only guess at around £10-15? If within 30 miles of Rotherham, South Yorkshire I will deliver F.O.C.
Who knows, I guess when I get rid of them my dream Montego Countryman will come up for sale!
