I was wondering, will the 5 speed gearbox attached to an S series engine be a direct replacement for the 4-speed gearbox on my A+ series 1.3L??

The ratios might all be to cock but it should fit (you'd have to transfer the linkages accross too).

Worth a try do you reckon?

Work out the difference in ratio and see if it is significant (do a search on here for the gearbox ratios) . Also you might need to make sure the speedo isn't too far out too.
