thanks for the link I'm looking forward to reading it. Are these available on the web? surely noone would care about copyright on maestro anymore?

No they aren't available on the web as far as I'm aware, however they are available on CD. There is an advert int he back of Monstro (club magazine) which is basically the scanned paper version of the austin rover manual.
