Hello,
I have got 8 out of the tem head bolts undone, howerver the last two . .the ones with the extra 2 centimeters of thread on them have both partially rounded off, they just gave under the strain . . . i was using a 15mm socket bit . . .
they are so tight, i was using a 2 meter extension bar . .
Any idea on how I'm going to get these flaming things undone??? or is the car a right off????
Help is really urgently required . . . open to any idea!!!1
Thanks in advance!!!

You did loosen them all gradually didn't you? if not you'll have most likely warped the head and made the last 2 virtually impossible to get out.
Never fear all is not lost though. What engine is it?

Make sure you are using a 6 sided socket (opposed to a 12 sided).
You can sometimes re-fit the other (8) bolts and torque them down,
(to the correct setting and sequence) then try and slacken the existing 2 "tight" ones.
OR and is this maybe considered a "bit of a Bodge" find a 14mm Impact 6 sided socket and hammer it onto the head stud. This may help the "rounding off" and the hammering may "shock" the bolt enough, to loosen the threads of the block-stud.
If you need 2 spare ones after your dilemma let me know i have plenty

Get a high torque socket - 6 sided with very thick walls. Get a 9/16ths one as it's between 15mm and 14mm, and hammer it over. Maybe also get it in 3/4 drive, and then use a substantial 3/4 drive t-bar and tube to give the leverage.

Now the head is off it might be worth skimming it incase it was warped when those bolts didn't come off. Definatly get a straight edge and check thouroughtly because you wouldn't want to have to do the job again would you! :)
