Is anyone here on AOL? I have just looked at the web intro page and they are doing a feature on "cars that changed the world". Guess what? Not a sausage about our favourites. They even mentioned the Smart. Ugh!

Yes, I'm on AOL 8.0 and I have just seen that Cars That Changed The World page.
As for the VW Beetle, I believe it was the Brits that helped them produce it!!!

I know! Remember that recent Audi advert were they said they were the first at this and the first at that? Well they weren't the first at voice synthesis units, were they? What about other Maestro/Montego firsts then?:cool: :cool: :cool:

Did anyone see that film "Among giants" with Pete Postlethwaite? Wasn't there a Maestro van in that?

Oh I just thought of another. Does anyone remember watching the video for the Pet Shop Boy's single "West end girls"? (Showing my age, I know - maybe this should be on the music thread?) There was a speeded-up scene at the end showing traffic in London with a white MG Maestro following the camera. Magic!
