If it is the ones I am thinking off (the ones in wales on ebay ;)) they are metal bumper as we have already asked the question as you can't really tell from the picture.

the metal bumper wings are about 6 inches taller top to bottom than the others. Surprisingly larger when side by side...

There are also two types of plastic bumper wings too, (ones with side repeater holes which are more common and ones without side repeater holes for the older cars which are much less common).

To answer your question, you can tell the difference as the plastic bumper ones are cut off just below the indicator hole and have a bracket to fix the bumper on. The metal bumper ones are shaped at the front under the indicator hole, which fits with the front valance.

The metal bumper wings come with and without repeater holes so that means there are four types of wings:

Metal bumper without repeater hole
Plastic bumper without repeater hole
Metal bumper with repeater hole
Plastic bumper with repeater hole

All with different BEP numbers for left and right hand side - so there are a total of eight BEP numbers.
