My local 'backstreet' garage when I lived at my mum's (pre '98) and I still use him now...

I've used this guy since 1993, he uses a local garage for MoTs, he was trained in a local BL Garage (W.R.Roberts, Tottington Road, Bury, Lancs) in the mid 1980s and went independent in the late 1980s. He will work on any car and do a damn good job. I know I can collect my car fron his garage and drive, literally, anywhere reliably (and get home again). My MoT's are 'hard-earned' - no soft options here!!!
I've recommended him to my mum's neighbours, and they are very happy indeed with his service. This may (allegedly) account for the Gallon tin of Waxoyl he gave me after charging me £15 for 'carburettor adjustments' at the last MoT in March 2003...
