Web hosting suggestions?

Myself and the Missus are looking for a joint webhost for our respective sites. She does quite a lot in that regard, whereas I'm just playing.

Her current host is C4Lhosting..and they're less than wonderful. Mine is Freeserve, and my opinion of them is unrepeatable.

Paying is not a problem, but the cheaper the better..:laugh:

Rules: No banners, no ads, MUST have FTP, preferably sub domain thingies, etc, etc. She has her own domain name already.

Any ideas, suggestions, or recommendations gratefully received! :)

Thanks for that! :) Contacted them last night to see if they included SSI in their features..they do, so the missus is very happy..:) She's paying the same right now for much less, with a bunch of utter wan:censored:ers in charge.

They recently had a service outage..and when we asked we got "us? no.."..hmm..28 computers must have simultaneously screwed up then..:laugh: (not to mention 4 ISP's..).

Good companies, like good garages are few and far between..:)

My dad just pointed this out to me, he uses the site regularly.

i provide hosting services, lots of technical features but i don't get involved with design. if you'd like to know more please send me an email as my core hosting site isn't up to much for non-clients.
