on the 16th and 17th of this month is a double header race meeting with theLancaster Insurance MGOC Race Championship with MGs of all kinds including the trusty Maestro.
There will be racing on both days which includes Truck racing which is an incredible site!
Hope lots of you can make it and lend some support to the Maestros including of course Carnumber19!!

Can we camp at Pembrey?
I'll come along if I can pitch my tent somewhere.

If camping is available, Tony, Rich (Austin-Rover) and myself are hoping to go, probably arriving late saturday. Watch this space... depends on the weather for a start...

yes, camping is available next to the paddock in the centre of the circuit. You will be pleased to know that the die hard Maestro racers like nothing more than a barbie (as in aussie outdoor cooking) and few beers.
In terms of weather, who knows, last time i was there is was overcast but dry.

Hope to be there at least on Sunday with my other half Chris whose MG1600 race car is sitting on the driveway bored at the moment, at least on Sunday, but possibly Saturday as well.

I will do my best to get there too, but a couple of us from the Manchester area have a meeting in Birmingham on the saturday afternoon so won't be at Pembrey until the saturday evening.
I must say I'd appreciate a free ticket if there are any going. :)
It hinges on the weather, to be honest. And what facilities are there for campers? Is it just toilets?

Number19, I'll definately be there for both days. I'll probably bring my GF aswell if she'll put up with the Maestro spotting.

As things stand at the moment I'll probably be able to make it on the Sunday, with camera, but not on the Saturday.
*Goes to search for hotels...*

for those of you coming to the Pembrey race weekend, saturday looks set to be a good day with sunny spells and saturday night dry for those whom wish to camp. (i am staying in a B&B - a race driver needs his comforts!). Sunday, however, looks changable and likely to rain; being Wales, probably all day!!

Don't think I can make this one as I'll be on the protest/demo/rally thing at gaydon--> longbridge on sunday. I'll be along to another hopefully drier event though when I've got a free weekend.
Good luck and get the wet weather tyres out!

Unfortunately I can't make it either :( Chris is hoping to get his race car out for Brands, so wants to spend the day furtling with it, and then we're joining the convoy to Longbridge on Sunday. See you later in the season, and good luck for this weekend!

I'll not be there, it looks like I will be at the Gaydon ---> Longbridge protest as well.
I'm in the Longbridge area saturday too, at the Austin Fed meeting until late in the day, so it would be late before I got to Pembrey anyway. It's as easy to go home as to go to Pembrey, and easier to fall into a comfy bed than set up a tent etc etc.
Sorry, but I will get to the MGOC racing when I can. Mallory Park for definite, it's been designated a Club social event.
Good luck, let us know how this weekend's racing goes. :)

Pembrey was superb - I caught the whole first day, and night... Then we left earl(ish) and managed to get in on the tail end of the event at longbridge.
Tony? I know you were there - I had heard rumours of sightings... but couldnt find you!
Photo's of Pembrey to follow tomorrow.

I had a lovely time thanks got there mid afternoon. Yes I did hear that you was there too Dave, maybe next time ;) Phil even let me work on his race car. Next stop f1. the trucks was awesome you feel them coming .it was good to see so many maestros being so competitive ever at 20 years old .only bad side of it was the trip home, somebody thought it was a good idea to have a football match 30 miles down the road Newcastle and man u. so there was 4hours of tailbacks getting out of Wales. I got home for 3am then up for work at 6.30 :violin: . It’s a must for every maestro fan to get out and see them racing
