How hard is it to remove doors from a maestro. What I mean is could an idiot (me) do it.

The 1.3 Maestro is a very simple car to work on, and it'll last forever too! (That's if you do work on it though!)

Well, that is sort of true.. it would make it a lot easier if you had the dash out to remove the front doors... however, it can be done.. as i know from spending 2 hours in a scrap yard, ankle deep in mud armed with a pair of pliers, a hammer, and a socket set. the bottom bolts for the front doors are located under the plastic paneling of the door surround, so take these off first, then you will need a thin socket wrench or similar as the bolts are inside the door pillar making it very difficult and time consuiming, but it can be done. the top hinge of the doors come loose by knocking the pin out, you dont need to get behind the dash and undo any bolts for this.
