I'm going to the Easter one this Sunday (27th). Does anybody know if we'll be able to park in the classic cars bit? If so, do you have to be a club member (I'm just a forum poster!)?

Well they allowed us in last time as they were expecting us..
Is anyone else thinking of going? If so then I'm sure we can arrange to have the cars on display again.

To park in the paddock last time, it was just a case of turning up at the exhibitors'/traders' entrance (not the main car park entrance) in a Maestro or Montego and then parking up alongside the other Maestros and Montegos parked therein. There were Maestro and Montego drivers there who weren't club members, to be honest.
There is talk of some of the 'northern posse' attending again - and don't forget, the clocks go forward this sunday so it'll seem like an hour earlier than it actually is ;) . Another ridiculously early start to a sunday for some of us, but we are getting used to that  !
There is a cavalcade of classics at noon at Newark this sunday too.
If there is interest in several of us attending, I will ring my contact at the organisation that runs the event.

Well I'm definately going.
And if anyone else is, who has a middle exhaust section for a Maestro Diesel (normally aspirated) I would be willing to do some dealing on the day. Look out for the red Maestro with a grey bottom half and with a "Prinipaute du Monaco" sticker on the back....oh, with a noisy exhaust!

Hi Jack,
Did you go in the end? Sorry we didn't manage to get anything together, hopefully next time there is a club social going on you can make it?

Yes, I went. Though with the clocks going forward and a night out the previous night I ended up getting there around midday. People started packing up about 2pm.
Got a few bargains. And there were some interesting cars in the classics section.
I noticed the sign said pre-1990 classics. Mine is 1992, though obviously designed pre-1990. I take it they didn't refuse people based puely on the age of the individual vehicles before?
