Poor Angina isn't too happy at the moment... lights going out on the dash, water pump packing up, and the wonderful tin worm... and today another problem appeared...

Half way to college this morning, my indicators packed up... got to college in one piece and found the fuse to be at fault, so changed this and all was fine, even my reversing lights started working after 3 weeks without them! On my way home this evening there was a pop, some smoke, and another fuse out of the window... Only spare I had with me was a 15A (instead of the 10A it takes...) so put this in to get me home... this promptly blew, as did the next one I put in when I got home... So, any ideas? I now have no indicators/brake lights/reversing lights...

Replace the fuse, (with a correct one) and see if it blows with just the ignition on, if ok, press the brake lights, if all ok move onto the indicators, then the reversing lights. See which circuit blows the fuse, its then a matter of checking the connection, my guess would be the reversing light wiring near the clutch lever,

Yup I'd guess that too. I'd follwo the same proceedure but remove the fuses for the suspected items (reverse lights, stop lights and indicators. Then replace the fuses one at a time removing after you've fitted it until the fuse blows. Then you know which circuit is at fault. Having seen the reverse lights I'd suspect them too!

Thanks, will see what I can sort out... If it is the reverse light wiring at fault, I'll leave the wire at the sender disconnected and hopefully this should at least give me some indicators! And then I'll let Tony have a look at it on Sunday... good job my insurance covers FIRE and theft ;)
