Hi all,

I took a look under F153 the other day and realised that the rubber bushes are in real need of replacement so I'll do that while the weather is nice.

Is it an easy job to do? - Do I need any specialist tools?

Hopefully it'll stop the ocassional knocking sound and give back that nice tight 'new' feeling.

Oh, the other thing is - how many bushes are there? I'm guessing that Rover replacements are the best/only option...?

Many thanks

SiR.

It can be a right bugger of a job, but certainly not difficult.

Apart from a gas-torch (essential!) you can make a puller out of a big socket and a long bolt, washer and nut.

Put the bolt thru the bush, place socket on other side, add washer and nut and then tighten up.

IIRC there are a pair of rear beam bushes, two pairs of front suspension bushes and a pair of roll bar bushes.
