Mirrors

I've got a pair of nice chrome door mirrors for the DLX, the only problem is that on one of them, one of the springs behind the glass has rusted and broke. I have a damaged mirror with good springs in it.

How do I take apart a mirror, without destroying it or myself?

Haynes manual is worse than usless.
