WRONG!!!!!!!!
You have the right to remain silent but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something you later rely on in court do you understand!!!!!!

A special what ?
If one buys an ex-police car, it's acceptable for the 'distinguishing bits' to be removeable for the journey home. In fact, the police force that owned your car originally may well have the parts needed to upgrade the car and may well be happy to help you out.
The other other Rich.

Gwent Police had a fleet of Maestro cars back in 1991, they were plain white with a small police crest on the front doors, and a triangular police lightbox on the roof with a rotating beacon on top.
I bought J321TNY, a 2litre white hatchback from Newport auctions in 1994, for £2042. At the time, Monmouth police had an unmarked red diesel maestro, and Pontypool police had a light blue one, both with J TNY registrations.
