What sort of money are we talking for tyres though as I would imagine they are low profiles.

Another question for you all. I have seen a meastro same colour as mine for £180 it is a 1.3 special but I only want it for the doors and boot lid as my two front doors are really faded and the back doors and boot lid are starting to rust. The doors and boot lid on the £180 motor are spotless, do you think it is worth paying £180 for the doors??

Thanks

Nath

Is it a red Maestro Special? I could do with all new doors and tailgate for mine! I can't get them from any other model of Maestro as they'd have to have the Special stickers on them. :banghead:

The low profile's i've got on mine are 185/55/15
i've recently bought some part worns 2 @ £25 and
1 @ £20, economy ones are about £45/£55 each and
brand new i was quoted between £130/£150 each on
the different brands.
re: 1.3 special,£180 aint to bad if its the same
colour, saves on the expense of respraying, take off
any bits that may come in useful,(rainy day job)

Thanks for the info Malcsmaesty. I might pop up and have a look at the car on friday. Its a nice 2 1/2 hour train ride. How hard is it to change all of the locks over.

Have a look at www.tyre4u.com. I run a rover 220 with 185/55 R15 tyres and i can get Goodyear Eagle NCT3's for £60 (fitted) at my local garage. I have since changed to the cheaper 195/50 R15 size and bought Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's at £42 each from Tyre 4U. They even deliver to your door for free.

Hope this is useful (might save you some money in the long run.)

Regards

Steve

Thats cheap!!! But how much does it cost to just have the tyres fitted at your loacal garage as they rip you off still by charging for new valves and balancing.
