Can anyone suggest somewhere I can get my decals reproduced? There doesn't seem to be any original sets about in case I need them for a rainy day. :worried:

The club has some good contacts with someone who may be able to help. (They do our badges etc). Also pretty much any local sign maker will be able to help you. Finally have you checked the MMOC spares stash as there are quite a few decals in there I think.

Which are you after, Steve?

I have about 10 ...Suft decals for some reason

Also have an assortment of coachlines.

Decal reproduction is in the pipeline Steve, so bear with us on that one. Tony is currently looking into a supplier be it our current contacts or new ones.

This is something we need to provide, as more of us are restoring our cars, then original decals are not avaliable so we will all want replacements.

As Dan says, there are some decals currently in stock, but I am unsure on which ones, I can check for you if you want?

This goes for all the club members, if you do need something for your car that you can't find and would feel it handy if the club reproduced the item, please ask and we will try our best for you.

I think I've enquired about these before... if I did there wasn't any about. The Special ones are slightly more complex than the '...Surf' ones, as they go the full length of the doors and one on the left side tailgate.

I could probably knock up a version on the 'pooter somehow. I'll have to get some good photos first. :worried:

I would love an "MG" and "2.0i" in black if anyone has them... Also, the black plastic insert for the front bumper. Does the club have any of these in stock?

Thanks,

Neil

That reminds me, I need a full set of red decals for a 2.0i too. :banghead: :worried:

I don't think we do, but I am sure Maria will be alone to let you know either way.

I will put this on the list of proposed reproductions that we are looking into for you.

If you are looking for Decals that are the same as on the MG models, then you can contact the MG'M' Group on 01380 818805

Please mention if you are a member of the MGM Group or MMOC when calling.

regards,
Patrick

I've just been to my local Rover dealer to order my Countryman pinstripe ready for its completion over the next couple of months. To my shock, they don't have enough left in stock anywhere to do my whole car!!! Only enough to do the wings and doors. I've ordered what they've got but this is going to leave my rear quarters pinstripeless!!! I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have any lying around??? I guess if the worst comes to the worst, I'll have to get them reproduced.

Can you put a picture up of the stripe, as I don't know what colour it is or how wide it is, etc

You never know we may have some in the spares, hopefully the whole process of determining what the club has in stock and purchasing will be made far easier in the future, but I won't go into that now. If not they can be reproduced from the original.

As you know Tony the Regalia Co-ordinator has been looking in to reproductions. Can I suggest you email Tony with your requirements and we will see what we can do if there are none in the spares.

Attached is a pic of the old pinstripes on my Countryman. It has two horizontal pinstripes, one gold, the other is called "Claret" which is a metallic burgundy. I have managed to get enough from another forum member to do one wing and two doors. If Rover can get hold of the last two in stock then I'll be ok but if they can't, I will still need more. Any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry if I am being a bit silly here, but why do you need to order these from Rover? Obviously the "Countryman" decal is a Rover part but the lines down the coachwork can be bought anywhere. My local motor factors has a whole display of different colour stripes in different widths. I bought some for my parent's Rover 100 when they had a new door put on it. I think one was white and one was grey.

Unfortunately there isn't anything that matches amongst the coachlines in stock :(

If you know of anywhere that can provide gold and burgundy metallic pinstripes, I would like to hear about them because so far I have drawn a blank with the burgundy.

I'll look in Motoman (Bristol based accessories shop) and find out who the manufacturer is. I know that they are much cheaper than anything you'd get from Rover. I think it was about £2 for a roll that would do the whole car.

Luckily my Rover dealer in Ipswich has managed to find me enough pinstripe to finish the car as well as some from Mal. It appears that these were the last Rover have so any future Countryman restos will probably need reproduction stripes. I may look into this while I have the originals intact for future use.

Can you post up a picture of the stripes, Ed - so that I have an idea of what to look for in the factors?

If you look at the previous page, you'll see the pic i've already uploaded of the stripes. Double pinstripes. Top is gold metallic and the lower one is called "Claret" which is a metallic burgundy. A lot of enthusiasts are using TD Countrymans now as their day to day so these decals may be required as more get restored.
