Hello
the mean machine is a 2.0I MEMS MG Monty with lowered suspension and a piperx induction system plus a fuel pressure regulator. rolling road gives 128bhp.
i have had the mean machine from 1990 and previously had a 1984 version.
if anyone is interested in lowering suspension it does drastically improve roadholding.
i live near Edinburgh and have not seen any other 2.0I MG Monty's
for at least 2 years in my area.If there are any other enthusiasts in my area i would like to get in contact
attached is a photo of the mean machine.

Ian, I am confused - you say 'i have had the mean machine from 1990' yet surely a K reg wasn't even made until 1991? Have you had it from new?

Sorry about the huge white blank space. This was my car before I put the Turbo bumpers on. Will post them when they are developed.

Hey K131CAC - I used to have one of your sister cars - K822CAC.
A Monty 2.0DLX saloon scrapped late last year with 204,613 on the clock.

Thanks for the offer! Are these factory stickers? Have you got any pics of them by any chance?

PS: I take it your Montego is possibly the last one of the MGs? I know that one L reg MG Maestro exists but not Montego.:)

Very nicely done, and very tasteful especially with the hints of chrome. I've always liked Nightfire Red, not sure why.

The MG wheel centre stickers I bought via a contact for my cars alloys seem to be aftermarket items but they do look just right. I've had one or two enquiries, would be interested to know where they can be obtained from.

Thanks D428 CHO! It was a slightly daunting prospect upgrading from Clubman to MG/VDP spec what with those metal bumpers but at last has been done.

Thanks lamonto! They look nice - strange how there was never the option of having wheel logos on these wheels. I shall enquire about those!

I have a few sets of these, not to be confused with flat ones - these are raised and look good. Don't know if they're still available, or if the club sells the same ones. Let me know if you want some - I've only got them in red, Jonathan had my last black ones!

My grille badge is the same colour scheme as those wheel centres so they should look fine. Please e-mail me so that I can buy them from you. :)
