You shouldn't have any difficulties coming across a tailgate in British Racing Green - it seemed to be a very popular colour on late Estate models. Check your local scrapyard...

There's a phone (and poss email) service called 'find-a-part' (or similar) where scrappers all over the uk are notified of customers' requirements and can ring the customer if they have what the punter wants. Then post it etc.
