Can anyone post a pic of the Maestro Advantage Alloys?

Yes, here's a Monty Advantage wheel in all its glory. Half an inch wider than a Maestro wheel but otherwise identical.

Hmmm... there is a set of Maestro Advantage alloys for sale (brand new) on the Classifieds page for about £125. I thought of fitting them on F170, but I'm not sure.

I thought you were keeping F170 standard as a prime example of the 'special' version?

Malcolm Watson is trying to sell his unwanted set of Maestro Advantage wheels. they are brand new and they are the last set from Stewart Flett (He's the guy who still has 118 cheesegraters)

malcolm watson , West Yorkshire, United Kingdom, malki784@yahoo.com
I will be arriving with a set of white maestro x-spokes ,plus a couple of box,s of bits for monty and maestro's and metro,s.
Will also have a new mk1 metro turbo alloy with me + a set of nut covers and centres.

Mal.

This is Malcolm's thread on MG BBS - when I spoke to him at 5.30 on Sunday he had not sold the cross-spokes.

I like your new picture RDGelder. It's the new Rover badge to be used on the new CityRover and Rover 25 Streetwise that were announced yesterday. I think the badge is reminiscent of the badges used on the Rover P6. Unlike the car which is not anything like a P6.

I think this new Rover badge is great! Much better than the old one - modern, yet contemporary with a hint at the past.

This is the Streetwise - new bumpers and mouldings big wheels and raised suspension. Not a 4WD it's being marketed as an urban on-roader!

First car from Rover not to have colour-coded bumpers since the Maestro was launched in March 1983!

I think this car could sell quite well - it looks good for starters, i will save other judgement for when i see one in the flesh!

The 5 door version looks better than the 3 door version though....

I agree - also they have made the front better giving the car a more upmarket european look whereas teh Tata looked like a cheap Korean car. Lets hope it sells as well as the Rover 100 so that MG Rover can get back into profitability and make some really great cars.

I saw a new Audi convertible the other day. It was a full four seater and it looked great (even though I don't like Audis) MG should make a convertible version of the Rover TCV and put a big engine in it. That's the sort of prestige desireable lifestyle car that they should be making.

F170, buying the alloys will cause your rims to be more expensive than the car itself! Can't imagine it happening in Singapore...

I like the streetwise!:D I've never really liked the "new" front on the 25..but that style suits it..:)

It's got a very..Audi look about it I think..:) Rather purposeful...I'd certainly buy one!:D

How about the Rover 214/216 with the grey, unpainted bumpers? Not all of them had painted the lower body in grey. And what about some cheap, early 600's sold with dark grey bumpers over here? And the Rover Metro? Hmm, I found quite a few :-0
Not to forget the metab-bumper Maestros...

What a wally I am - I forgot about those bumpers as all those examples are basic versions of cars that have colour coding on upmarket models. Even my own mother has a Rover 100 with unpainted bumpers!

I was just thinking that too.
