A lot of people on this forum love to post pics of their cars! (wonder who that could be!) ;) So, i thought id have my turn, and post the most recent pic of my 1.6 VDP.
Yesterday i parked in town, music at full volume, backed into a very tight space in 2 easy and quick moves, and when i turned my music off i noticed a lot of people hanging out the window of the near BT office clapping! :-) Which was nice! Quite amusing i thought! :p

Here are the latest pictures of my MG1600 (in the sunshine). This car is 19 years old and has never been restored. I drive it to work every day and last weekend I drove it 515 miles including a trip from Kent to South Devon on Sunday morning. How it it perform? It loved it!

Are they new number plates? I always think the 'blue strip' style rear number plate adds a nice touch to any Maestro. The white lower grille at the front doesn't look bad either.....but do you intend to change the car back to standard paint scheme?

Those number plates are new, the old ones were a bit past it. I think to change my car back to a standard paint scheme would be too much hassle - as the entire thing would need doing. The car doesnt look bad from a distance, but up close there are dents, filler on the rear doors and the black paint, which is actually thick gloss, looks a bit rubbish. I plan to sand that all off soon and spray the lover half grey. I think the Maestro looks good in two colours anyway...to have the whole car done would cost too much money at the moment, so its juct little improvements for the time being.

BTW - headlamp chip protectors were available for the Maestro but I doubt they're sold anymore. Agony Uncle quoted the part number in the old forums maybe a couple of years ago. If you run a search in there you may find it.
Rover 800 headlamp washers must fit the metal bumpers as I think there is sufficient clearance inside once you have drilled an adequate size hole. Apparently they don't fit plastic bumper cars though.
