Well today it started top rain again and for some reason The drivers side blade stopped sweeping. Left was fine. Upon inspection I noticed that the Arm was attached to the spindle which was moving quite freely and still firmly attached to the arm.
Can I access the motor mechanisms from the engine bay or is it a dashboard job.. Has this happened to anyone before????

Hiya, are you sure its not just the nut securing the arm to the spindle that has come loose? Thats what usually happens in 90% of cases
Cheers Gary :)

If the nut hasn't come loose then it is likely that a ball joint has become seperated in the mechanism. The machanism is easy to get to. Remove the rubber seal from the bulkhead where the bonent sits against it. Then remove a couple of screws that secure the plastic cover, (next to the bonnet hinges) and remove that big piece of black plastic. The mechaism hides beind there. If you take any of it apart it is worth giving it a good grease up while you have it apart as they are often neglected and then wear leading to squeaks, groans and excessive wear in the mechanism. Most likely it is a loose nut though.
