Just some rear electric window electric windows regulators would be great. I'm hoping that I will still be able to come provided I won't be needed at work, other than that I'm looking forward to it!

I've checked that route over and over with dad, soem of it doesn't tie up so I will post an edited copy tomorrow if I get chance - A615 NFV needs a lot of work still...

You can do - but on our map, it just doesn't tie up in a couple of places. :banghead:

Which point does it not work - you just have to remember to turn the map around so you are following the route exactly as you will be on the day - this ensures you turn in the rite direction at all the junctions. Turn the map as you read it.

Try 'get-a-map' from the Ordnance Survey, the 1:50,000 maps round Baslow - I guess this is where the confusion arises. Mind you, my OS Map 119 is dated 1995...

This is the route i have plotted from the directions you posted, Rich.
Sorry about it being so small...

Oops.
The B6054 and B6055 are now the A625.
The A625 to the A6013 is now the A6187.
Amend route as follows?
RIGHT ONTO B6001 then...
KEEP ON B6001
RIGHT ONTO B6521 AND STRAIGHT ON SAME ROAD THROUGH GRINDLEFORD
LEFT AT END ONTO A6187
RIGHT AFTER SEVERAL MILES ONTO A6013
Then as before...
Any thoughts on this? I can only say thanks for pointing this out - the comment above re the B-roads round Baslow were an inspired guess! (nervously)
The other other Rich.;)

Also...
near the beginning, note the following...:banghead:
"LEFT AT CHAPEL ONTO THE A6 THEN LEFT ONTO A625 ALMOST IMMEDIATELY
"to Winnats Pass (photos), the broken 'old road' (photos) and then Speedwell, Peak and Blue John Caverns if we're feeling adventurous! Or call at Edale (start of pennine way, very scenic, photos)?
"ONTO CASTLETON (peveril castle) AND HOPE"
The reference to the A625 should say the A623, TURNING LEFT AT SPARROWPIT (STRAIGHT ON ON THE MAP) ONTO A MINOR ROAD .
I've sussed the A623 left turn (roundabout on the A6), don't worry folks!
Any more errors? I'm almost afraid to ask, but better now than on Monday... (very nervously!)
The other other Rich.:o
Steve, do you want to redo the route? I'm off the computer after today and am reduced to txting people from 2pm...:banghead:

Right! My car is all set to join you lot provided I can find my way. It's a little on the late side I know but where EXACTLY are we meeting up to start the rally. Have you got a postcode of the meeting point or other info so I can put it in my routefinder? Oh, I'll be on my own as well!
Cheers,
John:eek:

We are all meeting at the McDonalds car part opposite the roundabout at the easterly end of the M67 - where it meets the A57.
Have all those that are planning on attending made a note of Rich's mobile Phone no. so you can contact the rest of us if you are going to be late or get lost etc. (his number is in the latest issue of Monstro )

Right it is the M67/ A57 roundabout near Glossop and Mottram, should be easy to see on a Map. At that roundbaout there is a Macdonalds that you can't miss. Well if you do just go around the roundabout again. :) We are meeting at 10am there, as you go to Macdonalds you will notice their is a large car park next door. Park in there!
If you need anymore help, I have autoroute on my computer so can send you an html file with a map and directions.

Thanks for that. Just to make sure....is it best to put the flyer inside the rear screen of the car to notify it is part of the rally?

Right, I've had a go at plotting the route on a map, here's my version...

24th August 2003, 16:01
Errmm....Steve - I've just spoken to Rich, and the route actually turns onto the A625 at Chapel-en-le-Frith towards hope & Castleton. Your route means travelling to Buxton which misses out all the sceinic aspects of the route such as Winnats Pass, Edale and Blue John Caverns. It also misses out the Tideswell part of the route.
Hope everyone who is coming tomorrow is looking forward to it!

Ok then Rich. Can you modify the above route so I can plot the final route on the map...?
As for the Flyer, I do not provide them - I sent it out in emails for people to print...
I will be providing the leaflets, however.

Steve, the route is on the map i sent you in the email attachment earlier.
Could you send me a flyer to print off for tomorrow?

Have sent you the flyer to print.
I am not putting the map on the leaflets, so I need the right route - is the one above OK?
Austin-Rover
