Just a comment which I don't know if anything can be done.

It would be nice to have a post button at the bottom of the page as well as the top so peeps don't have to scroll all the way up again to find it.

Other than that, top work folks..

Cheers

Dan

Yes, good point and you're not the first to ask for it.

Is this any better...

A very worthwhile improvement, now I've got used to it. Well done. I especially like the 'private messaging' feature, it's a lot easier than using my private email addresses (not something I use at home, although my work's email address is open monday to friday 9 to 6...)

I've loaded an 'avator' as you'll be able to see, but have got better ones I could use. How do I change them? I've been to 'User Profile' and tried to load a different avator from a different source and pathway, but the first one I chose keeps 'popping up'. Any clues?

It would appear I'm talking absolute bat cack... I've reset the avator once since the last reply (above), *looked* at the last reply and noticed the avator has changed. I then changed the avator again and it changed *again*... I'm happy with this latest one, but the first two had artistic merit at the cost of my Monty's registration plate being illegible. One lives and learns!!!

I think this new forum is great! I lik ethe way you can easily attach images either as attachments or URL.

How do I get a picture of my cars to appear in the left column of every reply I make like so many other people have?

To get an Avatar in your posts, go to 'User Options' and then click on 'Edit Options'. At the bottom of the page there is the option to upload an Avatar from your PC. Just choose your picture and upload it. The pictures have to be 100 x 100 Pixels to work i think, so make sure they are the right size to be uploaded. Hopefully, once you ahve done that, you will have a nice picture by your username in all your posts.

Hope you folloed all that!

The Avators are 100*100 pixels or 25,000 bytes, whichever is the larger. If I can upload and then change my Avator, you will manage it no problem - have a go! Your most-recently-uploaded Avator seems to override the Avator on all previous pots and becomes 'your' Avator.

How about a "chat" forum and a "Maestro & Montego Gallery" to show pics of our motors?, and possibly a "Restorations & Rebuilds" forum?

Other than that like the new site ;)

Thank-you RDGelder and other other Rich - I'll try that out.

Jolly MG2 - In terms of a page on owners cars - this already exists - just click on Maestroin the navbar of the homepage and a link called "Your Maestro" appears where athere are quite a few cars showcased already. You should get yours posted up!

Cheers Matthew I'll have a look at that!

I'm obviously not aware of the imporoved board's features yet!

Thanks for the suggestions. We could add a board for posting pictures of our cars if it's wanted or even better I'm sure there's an upgrade for these forums that allows you to create your own personal picture gallery as part of your profile. The "Your Maestro/Montego" section allows you to add a few more details, but has the disadvantage that I need to find time to manually update it!

Real time chat has been considered in the past but I haven't been able to find a decent chat engine. Free software like ICQ makes this possible though (there's a space in the profile for you to post your number or ID). I for one am always happy to be contacted this way most evenings.
