Major oil leak!

Greetings fellow Monty people! I have a nasty little problem that I've just made 10 times worse by trying to fix it! Someone has overtightened one of the rocker cover bolts and stripped the thread in the block. It has obviously been patched up with some sealant - but had started leaking. Ihave had the cover off and now I can't tighten up the bolt - so the leak is HUGE!!! Anyone got any experience of re-tapping the thread in the block - or any other useful hints? car would now leave a trail of oil - so I can't carry out my previous job as getaway driver from major bank heists!!!!! :rage:

One one of the engines this is a common problem. A helicoil inswert can be used to recover the thread or a bigger thread can be tapped into the block if needed.
