Here's my collection of photos from today.
430) Lineup of Maestros, Montegos, and Metros at the Shell car park at 10:15am.
435) The beginning of the convoy out of Settle. Note Rich Smith's Monty way ahead, under the bridge!
436) Ribblehead Viaduct. (From a distance ;) )
441) Tony reversing his Monty Cabrio through a ford next to the pub we stopped at for lunch. :horror:
444) Evidence that Jon brought the famous CHO along. :D :)
Overall the day was enjoyable, the 3 hour drive to and from the event alone was great with the Rover 75. On the run itself, another good few hours worth, it kept up with Roller-Coaster-like Maestros and Montegos a treat, even on the bends. :p

Absolutely amazing weekend. Once again, the event was preceded with the now legendary club barbeque and festivities! This years run went through some simply breathtaking scenery, and the vista was much improved with a convoy of Austin-Rover tin making its way down the roads.
Here are some views of the sights in the area…
1) Ledders takes a rest at Linton in the sunshine.
2) The Fountaine Inn, Linton. Provided us with some very nice grub in some very nice surroundings.
3) Kilnsey Crag, over the village of Kilnsey.
4) Horton-in-Ribblesdale, where a few of us camped over before the event.
5) The waterfall in the centre of Hawes.

Brilliant! Just got back half an hour ago after a virtually non-stop run since Sheffield. CHO and I really enjoyed it, and some of those roads in the MG Maestro were LOTS of fun - it's good to be back :D
We owe Rich Smith (e692wtt) a vote of thanks for planning and organising everything so well again, and great to see more than just the usual suspects joining in.
I didn't get many photos but the ones I did get are worth a look.

Ah, cheers guys, I'm getting all embarrassed now... :)
I had a really good weekend, I think I need to thank you all for coming too, and making the weekend what it was. It all went to plan, even the weather ;) which was forecast to be drizzle/rain on the Sunday. And thanks especially for the photos above... they capture the mood and scenery pretty well.
I'll be honest, I was doubting my sanity by 11AM on the friday, after 6 hours of continual heavy rain at home, and much derision from people at work along with comments like "At least the tent pegs will go in easy!"
Full report to follow, but we managed 2 days of good weather (even if the nights were almost literally freezing). My airbed had a puncture, so after a very uncomfortable Friday night I used Monty's rear seat base on Saturday night... much better! But I kept rolling off it, hey ho!
On the Run itself, Colin and Hilary Holt (came from Doncaster) met us at exactly 12noon at the Fountaine Inn, as arranged, and they drove round the rest of the route with us. I think Dave Worsley's call for an hour break in Hawes was a good one, although a few of us got blocked in by a bus for 15 minutes, so more time to take the 'stimulant drink'
A personal highlight for me was the pub in the village where I had tea with Rich Gelder and John Slight (came up from London in the beige maestro van) on the Friday, where there was a selection of 'stuffed animals' on a dido rail (looked a bit like roadkill, actually), and directly below this was the vegetarian menu...
Another highlight was seeing the campsite owner's 1927 Austin 7 'top hat' fabric bodied car... he even left us alone with it while he booked a camper in... truly fascinating, and MoTd too... Someone's got some photos somewhere...
You can see a couple of Ford Transits in Stew's pics... the 2 blokes in them seemed to sleep through the day but come to life at 5pm??? They were TA blokes from Lincoln with goodness knows how many TA Soldiers doing lots of long walks and arriving back at base well after midnight both nights... It takes all sorts...
We also got asked by a fellow camper, at midnight Saturday, to 'keep the noise down a bit' - oops! I reported this to the campsite owner next morning... Oh," he said, "You had a good time then?" with a big grin...
It was especially nice to see Jon in D428CHO, especially considering he travelled from Surrey to attend... Nice One! :)
Again, Thank You one and all. Same time next year? :)

Have to say thanks to Rich Smith for organising this years event, and what a great day it was.
However it all turned into a great roller-coaster ride when we reached a very steep hill near Hawes! I think I got a 'birds-eye view' pic of the cars in front, it was that steep! Truly unbelievable and jolly good fun. :)
Will get the rest of my photo's developed soon, and will post up the most interesting ones.

Got my 35mm pictures back today, and I'm very disappointed. Below are most of the decent ones.
1) "3M's" Montego, Metro & Maestro
2) Ann (Tony's other half)
3) Our Rover 75
4) Waterfall thingy

Ask Truprint. I went round and got a shot of every car there, those pics above are all I received. Film must have been crap. :(

Answer = get yourself a cheap digicam. A 2 megapixel one can be yours from Argos for less than £85. At least your photos are not then at the mercy of someone else's cockups
Edit:
In fact, there's a Polaroid one with 3 megapixels for £80...

Got one, which is what I took the photos from my first post on here with. Due to it's lack of memory, I took the 35mm Pentax - and the photo's received are those crap ones above. :worried:
