Oil Help

I've noticed that the VP is using a fair bit of oil.

It was up to 'Max' before I went to BL show and when I got back it was down to 'Min'. There isn't any blue smoke coming from exhaust when revved, but there is oil deposits on the bumper above the exhaust.

Is it because the oil has become thin over time, the engine has 82K on it.

Can anybody suggest a good oil I could use as it's coming up to service time.

All these problems will not put me off my VP :thumbup:

That looked like unburnt fuel on your bumper, not oil ;)

Do a proper consumption check. Any oil leak however small can affect the level very quickly.

Cant beat £5.97 for 10w 40 oil at Tesco's, nothing wrong with it, SL spec. If your engine does turn out to be a burner use a thicker oil, 20w 50 is fine..
